Employer Incentives For Hiring Apprentices.

An employer who hires a 16 -18-year-old Apprentice, will be receive a government incentive of £1000 This incentive is split across two equal payments of month 3 and 12 of £500.

In addition to this, the Government have introduced payments to support employers who hire apprentices between 1st august 2020 and 31st March 2021.

Employer can take advantage of this new scheme for employing a new Apprentice to their company from 1st August 2020 – 31st March 2021; they will receive:

£2000 for Apprentices aged 16 -24
£1500 for Apprentices aged 25 and over

The payment is split into 2 equal instalments. You will receive 50% after the apprentice completes 90 days of their apprenticeship training and the remaining 50% when the Apprentice complete 365 days. – To receive the full payment, the apprentice must complete 365 days of their apprenticeship.

In order to receive this new incentive, you must add the apprentices to your Apprenticeship Service Account, as the ESFA want to pay this incentive direct to the employer.
