Quality Assurance Manager
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager with excellent sector skills who will be responsible for managing our Assessor Team and Internal Verification processes.
Responsible for Internal Verification activities
Managing assessors
Allocating learners to assessors
To develop assessors to improve the quality of delivery across all learning programmes
Responsible for managing sampling and verification activities
Ensure that all IQA activities continually meet the needs of the learners and exceed the requirements of the Awarding Bodies
Knowledge of E-Portfolio
Contribute to ongoing cycle of standardisation meetings for assessors to ensure best practice
Managing delivery models and other resources to embed a consistent and standardised approach to delivery
Complete regular sampling of assessor activity to ensure consistency across the team
Ensure sampling is completed and turned around within the timescales set
Participate in and or manage EQA visits to ensure the visit scheduled is adhered to, all portfolios requested are presented and meet the standards resulting in a positive visit.
Have good working knowledge of the EPA process for childcare
Liaising with Awarding Bodies on assessment materials and assessment process for EPA
To coach and develop assessors
Aid in the development of new qualifications and gain centre approval when necessary
SKILLS
Experience of performing a similar role as Quality Manager and Internal Verifier within childcare
Excellent knowledge and experience of Apprenticeships Standards
Experience of Study Programmes/Traineeships
Good knowledge and experience of End Point Assessments
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Good time Management skills
Good I.T skills
Qualifications
Must hold a childcare degree or relevant qualification and Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practices
Salary £27,500 PA
35 hours per week

Training & Placement Officer
We are looking for a Training & Placement Officer with excellent personal skills who will be responsible for recruiting young people on to Full Time Further Education Programmes and arranging work placements..
Key responsibilities
- Build relationships with a wide range of referral agencies, schools, local education authorities, to recruit young people on to Full Time Study Programmes
- Attend local employment events and careers fairs to raise awareness of Further Education Programmes
- Optimise the volume of applicants applying for Further Education Programmes.
- Source and co-ordinate work placements and risk assessments and support learners in the work placement process.
- Optimise the number of progression routes for young people from these Programmes into apprenticeships
Key duties
- Effectively interview and screen potential applicants
- Liaise with learners and employers to deal with any queries in relation to programme delivery and work placements.
- Deliver enrolments in line with Quality & Compliance expectations
- Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external employers
- Engage with target groups of learners throughout the Birmingham, Solihull and The Black Country geographical areas
- Establish and maintain links with local employers in order to source suitable employment vacancies
- Promote a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers
Knowledge and Experience
- Some experience working with 16-24 age group
- Working knowledge of the Further Education recruitment process
- Excellent personal skills and the ability to generate work opportunities for young people.
- Previous exposure to Further Education programmes is desirable
- Some knowledge of Safeguarding
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above in Customer Service
- NVQ level 2 / 3 in EYP or EYE as the main aims on many programmes are Childcare specific
- IAG Qualified at Level 3
