Course Information
Our Traineeship 2 course is an induction course for any young person aged between 16 – 18 years who is looking to pursue a career in Childcare and would like the opportunity to progress to a Level 2 Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce Apprenticeship.
The duration of the course is 12 – 14 Weeks and you will require a GCSE Grade C in both Maths and English to qualify for the course.
At the end of this course you will have achieved a Level 2 Certificate in Employability Skills, Paediatric First Aid Training and Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT.
Opportunities to progress on to the Level 2 Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce will be provided once you have completed the course.
How will it work?
On this course you will complete three days at college which is based in Edgbaston, where you will complete assignments in Employability.
(And if applicable your ICT classes.)
As a part of this course you will also be required to complete two days a week at a nursery setting.
Bursary will be paid based on your attendance.
(£5 each day meaning a total of £25 can be earned each week.)
