Entry Requirements for the Level 3 EYE has now been changed back!!!!
Entry requirements for The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator were set to change again this summer with learners needing GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above BEFORE starting the Level 3 EYE. It has now been confirmed by the Skills Funding Agency that GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above will remain an EXIT REQUIREMENT. Birmingham Jobs Fund has Changed!!
Following the removal of the DWP’s Wage Incentive Scheme as of 6 August 2014, Birmingham City Council has been reviewing its Birmingham Jobs Fund (BJF) offer. As a result of the review, changes have been made to elements of the BJF criteria and eligible payments/incentive levels.
The aim of these changes is to ensure the maximum number of Birmingham’s young people can continue to benefit and that the BJF is less bureaucratic whilst continuing to have the maximum impact for employers and their employees alike.
How has it changed?
16-24 year old apprentices – The employer will now receive £1,500 BJF only (paid following 26 weeks retention). Instead of £1,500 at 13 weeks and another £1,500 at 26 weeks.
18-24 year old non-apprentices – The employer will receive £2,275 BJF only (paid following 26 weeks retention).
Funding is subject to availability, meeting all necessary criteria and the employer’s commitment to support the apprentice(s) to the end of their training programme.
