The Senior Management Team
The Senior Management team consists of;
Fiona Baker – Managing Director
Chris Baker – Finance Director
Rebecca Palin – Senior Quality Manager
Angela McGlinchey – Senior Operations Manager
The Admin Team
The Admin Team consists of ;
Laura Prosser – Office Manager started Crackerjack Training in 2012 as an apprentice and has worked her way up the team to become Office Manager. Laura has a Level 2 and Level 3 in Business and Administration, Level 3 in Management, Level 3 Customer Service, Level 4 in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. She has also trained as a Fire Marshal and completed a Level 1 award in App Development. Laura used to play for a ladies football club.
Amber Tarry – Senior Administrator has worked for Crackerjack Training since September 2014. Amber is currently studying towards a Level 3 in Business and Administration and has also completed a Level 1 award in App Development. Amber has a degree in Dancing and returned in April 2016 from a 6 month sabbatical where she travelled the world.
Danielle Prosser – Administrator Joined the team in June 2017. She has worked within the Childcare sector for the last 6 years but has decided to have a change of career whilst staying in the Childcare / Education sector. Danielle will be working closely with the employment/recruitment team and will have regular contact with our employers.
Study Programme and Traineeship Team
The Study Programme and Traineeship Team consists of;
Tammy Sheldon – Study Programme and Traineeship Manager has been working at Crackerjack Training for over 7 years. Previously to that, Tammy was a manager of a nursery and has a Level 3 Diploma in Children, Care, Learning and Development and the A1 Assessors Award. Since working at Crackerjack Training, Tammy has gone on to complete Level 3 Playwork, PTTLS & DTTLS, Level 4 Management and Q.T.S. Tammy manages two netball teams ages 9-11 and 11-14.
Veronica Robinson – Tutor
Veronica joined the Study Programme and Traineeship team in November 2015 and teaches Level 1 Study Programme and Level 2 Traineeship students on site. As well as teaching, Veronica helps run the Student Hub at lunchtimes.
Rose Putrous – Tutor
Rose joined the Crackerjack Training Team in May 2016 and teaches Level 1 Study Programme on site. Previously, Rose worked in Germany for 4 years as a foreign language assistant in a bilingual parent initiative preschool and family centre. Rose has a BA (hons) in German Studies and will be achieving the PTLLS award in due course.
Rose’s two favourite pastimes are travelling around the world and going to the gym.
The Functional Skills/GCSE Maths & English Team
The Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths Team consists of ;
Claire Bottomley – Functional Skills and GCSE Co-ordinator
Claire has a background in childcare where she managed a pre-school in Stourbridge. She moved on to work with post 16 children as a functional skills English teacher. Over a 16 year period, Claire has worked with young offenders, single parents, and young parents to be and has also taught entry into employment. Claire has been working at Crackerjack Training for just over a year and heads up the functional skills and GCSE team. Claire has also set up a student library at Crackerjack Training, to encourage our learners to read more. Claire loves pigs and has a tattoo of one.
Suyi joined Crackerjack Training in September 2016. Having previously worked in a secondary school setting, she specialises in teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics. Suyi has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, PGCE with QTS in Mathematics and is currently completing an MA in Education. At least twice a year, Suyi enjoys travelling to different parts of the world to explore different cultures and try new cuisines. One interesting fact is that, Suyi once spent an entire week at Eton College (where Prince Harry was educated!).
With qualifications in Engineering, Management Services and Health and Safety Management, Peter has worked on a part-time basis with Crackerjack since 2007, following retirement from Matthew Boulton (Now Birmingham Metropolitan) College, where he was a Lecturer in the Engineering Department and part of a team delivering National Vocational Qualifications in Engineering to employees of West Midlands companies and an External Verifier for City and Guilds.
Peter is the Functional Skills Invigilator at present. He is also the company’s Health and Safety Adviser, both internally and also auditing Health and Safety arrangements in workplaces, where our students work or have placements.
The Early Years Assessing Team
The Early Years Assessing Team consists of ;
Linda Morley – Early Years Coordinator
Linda completed her NVQ Level 3 back in 1992 through Crackerjack, whist working within a nursery setting, progressed onto Level 4 and secured a position as nursery manager. Linda went on to complete her A1 Assessors award and became an Assessor at Crackerjack Training. Linda has since completed PTLLS and CTLLS and progressed onto tutoring and delivering Food Safety Level 2. Linda also delivers Employability, Level 3 EYE and Sexual Health.
Margaret joined Crackerjack in 2004, after a long career as a teacher in both Secondary and Primary/Infant schools in Birmingham.
Before joining Crackerjack Training, she was Teacher-in-Charge of a local Nursery school in Longbridge.
Completing Assessor and Internal Verifier Awards with Crackerjack, Margaret has been an assessor/ tutor during a period of time when Early Years qualifications have undergone much change.
Presently working with a number of learners as their assessor / tutor, Margaret is also Internal Quality Auditor for Traineeship Programmes and Employability qualifications.
Clare Richards – Assessor/Tutor
Clare was previously a Manager of a nursery for 3 years, and before that was third in charge for 5 years. Clare wanted to have a change of career and applied for the job at Crackerjack Training and has been working for us since 2011.
Clare is a massive Bansky fan!
Rachel Barr – Assessor/Tutor
Rachel has worked in childcare for 16 years and she has enjoyed roles including Nursery Nurse, Nursery Manager and Teaching Assistant. She joined Crackerjack Training in September 2014 and really loves her role as an Early Years Assessor. She also loves being a Mom to two beautiful children Hollie and Louie and when she can find spare time she enjoys watching The Big Bang Theory.
Trudi has been part of Crackerjack Training since 2009, where she started as a trainee assessor then went on to gain DTLLs in 2014. Trudi has been working as an EYE Level 3 Tutor since 2015.
Before joining Crackerjack, Trudi worked from the age of 19 in a nursery, before spending a year in the United States as a nanny, followed by 2 years in London. Her highlight of this time away was standing in 2 countries at the same time; standing on the borders of Canada and USA, whilst visiting Niagara Falls!
Natasha Lindley – Assessor
Natasha worked in a nursery for 9 years, and completed Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce and a foundation degree in Early Years.
Natasha has swam with sharks in Mexico and swam with sting rays in the states – sting rays are one of her favourite animals/sea creature.
Donna Johal – Assessor
Donna started working with children and young people in 1998 and was a Senior Youth and Community Worker for 5 years. Donna then went on to become a Child protection Officer, student and Volunteer Coordinator and then a deputy Manager of a nursery for 12 years. Donna has a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Learning and Development, Level 3 in Child Protection and a Level 2 in Team Leading and Management.
Donna joined Crackerjack Training’s Assessing team in Sept 2016 and is working towards a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
